Today we paid the toll, turned off our propane tank and proceeded over the 20 mile Chesapeake Bay Bridge/Tunnel known as one of the Seven Engineering Wonders of the Modern World. We arrived at Williamsburg, VA early in the day. We checked into an RV park so we could run the air conditioning for Daisy and left by car to tour historical Williamsburg. It was very hot and humid. We took the shuttle to old town Williamsburg and walked around the town for a while but we wilted. The heat was intolerable for me. I felt like I was going to pass out. We saw very little of Williamsburg but enough to satisfy us. Later in the day we went to the Yankee Candle store where candles comprised about 15% of the store. The rest was everything imaginable including a great Christmas display. We’ve had just about all the touring of historical sites we can handle. Bill said he had no interest in going to Jamestown; however, he would love to see the three ships they came over with in 1607.
