Hopewell Rocks, Confederation Bridge

Thursday, August 29th, 2013 We left Prince Edwards Island early this morning (8:00 A.M.) for New Brunswick via the Confederation Bridge. The bridge crosses the North Thumberland Strait for a span of eight miles at a cost of $59.00. The bridge connects Prince Edwards Island to New Brunswick. Once we were back into New Brunswick we headed for Hopewell Rocks. The rocks are accessible by foot during low tide. The tide in Fundy Bay reaches the highest in the world, an average of 44 feet between low and high tide daily. After seeing Hopewell Rocks we headed towards the U.S. crossing into the United States at Calais, Maine. It was one of our longer travel days and we are both very tired tonight.
