Albuquerque, New Mexico

Everything clicked into place today from the time we left Amarillo, Texas until we arrived in Albuquerque, New Mexico beginning with the gain of an hour entering Mountain Standard Time to finding a place to get the best price for fuel where we left our motor home and took our car to Old Town Albuquerque for a short visit.  Old Town Albuquerque is Pueblo buildings housing 140 shops and restaurants.  We saw but a few but enjoyed roaming around after driving for several hours.  Bill insisted on buying me a silly hat which I will probably never wear.  After retrieving our motor home we drove to one of Bill’s favorite destinations, Route 66 Hotel and Casino, where we enjoyed the seafood buffet.  We were originally going to spend the night there but since there were no hookups and two shows scheduled for the evening we thought it would be too noisy.  We headed west and stopped at Gray Eagle Casino which was about 20 miles further down the road.  This is a lovely, small casino with a very small but inexpensive full hookup RV park.
